What is a Pregnancy Weight Gain Calculator?

This tool estimates the recommended total weight gain during pregnancy based on your pre-pregnancy Body Mass Index, following Institute of Medicine (IOM) guidelines.

Formula Used

Pre-pregnancy BMI is calculated first, then a recommended range is applied: underweight 12.5-18 kg, normal weight 11.5-16 kg, overweight 7-11.5 kg, and obese 5-9 kg total gain.
